ABNEY PARK (Steampunk)

Abney Park was formed by Robert Brown in 1997. They released their first full-length album Abney Park in 1998, and in 1999 they released Return to the Fire. Their third album "Cemetery Number 1" drew from their first two albums as well as introducing several new songs. In the early years of Abney Park, the band featured a gothic musical and visual style, which culminated with their 2002 release From Dreams Or Angels. In 2005, the band released Taxidermy which is a collection of new versions of songs from past albums, three live tracks and two covers. In 2006, the release of the album The Death of Tragedy marked the beginning of a major change for the band, as their music departed from a goth/pagan sound to a more world music/fusion one. Abney Park transformed themselves from a largely goth industrial band into a steampunk band. According to that story, the band's plane collided with a time-travelling dirigible called the Ophelia said to have been created by a Dr. Leguminous Calgori (presumably a reference to the 1920 silent film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari) in a freak storm. The band commandeered the vessel, deciding to become airship pirates, and formed a new band from the surviving members of the crash. In the spring of 2008, That year, they released Lost Horizons, their first steampunk-themed album. Also in 2009, the band released Aether Shanties, their tenth album. A recording of a live performance of one of them (later confirmed to be the title track, "The End Of Days") can be found . The End Of Days, their seventh studio album, was released on October 15, 2010.
GHOSTFIRE (Alternative Rock/Steampunk/Gothic)

The music of Ghostfire resonates to the debauched decadence and absinthe-fuelled anarchy of life in the eighties… Stalking the cobbled streets; lurking in the shadows of the darkest alleyways... Dare you glance beyond the safety of the guttering gaslights? To where the gin-soaked moxie plies her trade, the dipper watches his mark and the drunken sailor staggers blindly... It’s this shadowy world of villains, rogues and rascals that Ghostfire calls home. In the darkest corners of the flash taverns, we raise glasses with vagabonds, footpads, pirates and thieves. All seeking sanctuary in the anonymity only notorious London Town can afford... Come in and see the whole nightmare…A band that you surly cannot miss....
BITTER RUIN (Haunting and Dramatic Noir Indie Folk)
Bitter Ruin formed in 2007 in Brighton when Ben Richards and Georgia Train met at music school. Although the pair understood each other musically, they had dramatically opposing musical tastes. Georgia had a history in Musical Theatre and Art, she listened to the likes of Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor and The Talking Heads whereas Ben preferred Rock, with the occasional tortured writer; Jeff Buckley and Metallica. However, their main bond as musicians was their Classical training. So the music has ended up somewhat eclectic and Bitter Ruin themselves describe it as ‘Contemporary Expressionism’ meaning that the style of music will change continuously as the lyrics, emotion and purpose of expression does.
POISIONED ELECTRICK HEAD (Zombie,Punk ,Twisted Rock)
The band's first release was the 1986 cassette-only mini-album Drink Me, followed three years later by the "Trickeroo/Cap of Flies" single. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Poisoned Electrick Head built up a fiercely devoted live following in their hometown and in other parts of the UK. By the start of the 1990s, the band had taken their onstage theatricality a step further, with the singers dressing in boiler-suits and wearing latex "death masks" and other bizarre stage costumes while the remaining band members wore ornate H. R. Giger-esque "alien domeheads" and robes.
VICTOR MENACE (Gypsy, Classical, Punk)
T"Stories of ship-wrecks and shark-bites, blurry-eyed Hawaiian islands, post-apocalyptic hoe-downs and horse-races.. it’s all there, like a Brothers Grimm collection written in a foreign language, with some of the pages stuck together."

His hobbies include adventure, invention, and a good cuppa. Aside from a few of his experiments (best left unmentioned), the Professor first got himself noticed with the track Cup of Brown Joy.

So with Alan, Lee and on left it was decided to go for a more stripped down rawer sound.
